Where Art Meets Everyday Life
A little creativity. A little culture. A whole lot of love for art!
Heart behind the Art
Hello! I'm Vidula, the artist, designer and creative mind behind Purple Ray Art & Design.
I've always believed that art has the power to make ordinary things extraordinary. For me, creativity isn't limited to a canvas or a gallery. It can be found in the little things we use every day; a coffee mug, a cushion, a journal, a beautiful print on the wall or a thoughtful gift that brings a smile.
With a background of over two decades in graphic design and a heart that has always belonged to art, Purple Ray is my way of bringing these two worlds together.
My love for art, culture & creativity
My journey as a designer has been shaped by a deep appreciation for colours, patterns, illustrations and visual storytelling. I have always been fascinated by India's rich artistic heritage, its folk art, traditional motifs, intricate patterns and the stories behind them.
From the earthy simplicity of Warli to the beautiful details of Madhubani and the richness of Pichwai, Indian art forms have an incredible ability to connect us with our roots.
I wanted to take this inspiration beyond traditional art formats and bring it into contemporary living. That's how Purple Ray Art & Design came to life – a space where traditional influences meet modern aesthetics, and creativity finds its way into everyday objects.
More than just products, it's a creative expression.
At Purple Ray, I love turning creative ideas into things people can use, enjoy, display, gift and cherish.
Our collections feature artistic home décor, coffee mugs, coasters, magnets, tote bags, journals, calendars, art prints and thoughtfully designed gifts that bring colour and creativity into everyday living.
We also offer a range of downloadable creations, including printable art, colouring books, mandala activities, journals, planners, storybooks, worksheets and eBooks. Designed for art lovers and creative minds, these digital resources inspire imagination, encourage self-expression and make creativity accessible to everyone.
Whether it's decorating your home, finding a unique gift or exploring a new creative hobby, every Purple Ray creation is designed to make everyday life a little more colourful.
